Lots of talk bout da rubber deeze daze. The treads are refreshingly productive and progressive as well and not the run of the mill, repetitive wetsuite treads. Figure if we post up what we've got for rubber we can see if others have something we are lacking for safety or performance.

Yeah, it's flat buoys. Gotta do something to stay stoked. This is keeping me sane.

    Spicoli's suite quiv:

    Starting lineup
    Cold/Freezing
    XCEL Drylock 5/4
    7mm Drylock round-toe boots
    5mm Drylock lobster claws
(7mm Drylock mitts for real cold)
(5mm Drylock split-toe boots en route in mail)
(5mm Hyperflex lobster claws en route in mail)
    Cool
    XCEL Infiniti X-Zip2 Comp 3/2
    3mm Drylock split-toe boots
    1.5mm XCEL spring glove
    Warmer
    Hurley Fusion 202 SS fullsuit
(1mm XCEL Infiniti split-toe reef boot for real rocky breaks)
XCEL Drylock 2mm topper as alternative with baggies
    Warmest
Every Rip Curl Mirage baggie known to man and a few hard to find XCEL baggies

Bullpen (backups and for friends to borrow)
XCEL Drylock 5/4 (in XLS rather than LS, got it dirt cheap on CL and it's mint)
XCEL Xflex 3/2 backzip (same as above)

    For parts
6/5/4 Drylock that has mad rips and tears but is still a ton of usable rubber for fixes
    4/3 XCEL Hawaii Titanium backzip

Wow. Emass has more wettie gear than my girlfriend has dresses. You guys have walk in closets for these fashionable collections?

    Tattered Hyperflex Cyclone "4/3"
    Xcel Infiniti 6/5/4
Oneil poly vest with hood (2mm?)

Ripcurl Flashbomb gloves, 5mm, holes in palms
    Xcel Drylock 5mm booties

One pair Reef boardies that I found in a hostel in S. America.

Lol yes bro, it's copious. Then again, consider that nearly all of that I have purchased new 30-60% off retail, and the used suites were nearly free. I don't often spend full price. There's enough deals from season to season that you can stay fully outfitted on a shorter dime.

As for the closets, I just tonight reorganize my storage in the basement to handle the bullpen and surplus rubber neatly organized. My starters are either on my second curtain rod in the shower (keeps them moist and neoprene likes that) or in my first floor coat closet which is more a suite closet now.

Getting after the fall/winter cleaning and reorganization and basically making the basement a surf/skate/snowboard shop with the second half of my board quiver and excess gear. The daily driver sticks (more like weekly/monthly now!) are kept on first floor on wall display.

You only have 1 pair of baggies?!

yankee, you've got the grand slam of Drylock. That's a hell of a wetty quiver. I should've pulled the trigger a few weeks ago on a 3/2 Drylock on Whiskey's. It was available in my size until recently at half price. Damn. That's my next likely purchase of a suite. Can you please note what brand and model boot dryer you have for 40 beans that is reliable? Thanks.

I will have to look at the boot dryer brand later & get back to you spicoli. I use it on footwear that gets soaked in winter storms, as well.

Slash, good one on the walk in for suites. I get carried away with gear, my one vice(?) but I'm not at all good with cold & hate getting into wet, cold suites & booties. Hence the suite wardrobe.

The inordinately wave-filled summer has left me with only two really functioning wetsuit things:

    6/5/4 O'Neill Heat
O'Neill O'riginal vest (and one pair of Birdwells)

Since I obviously have to fill this gap before Spring, does anyone else from, say, MD to Long Island think that maybe a 3/2 is unnecessary? I'm thinking that if I'm going to purchase two new suits, I might be better off with a 4/3 and a short-sleeved full.

I knew nj42 was gonna have a boss wetty quiver.

But only 3 baggies?! Damn. I must be the only guy that lives in mine. I wear them around the crib even in winter, work out in them, even wear them as skivs. They're too comfortable. 17 pair. They all get work on the reg in rotation.

Damn ya'll have more suites than I have boards! So here is my pathetic quiver:

10 year old 3/2 Ripcurl Classic.
7 year old 4/3 Ripcurl my buddy gave me. Has a hole at the base of the zipper so it's colder than the 3/2.
Some old 3/2 that I cut into a spring suit when it got holes in the wrist and ankle areas.
10-20 pairs of trunks and 3 or 4 rash guards.

i work as a lifeguard in the summer, so that pretty well limits my day-to-day wear. that's the birdwells (super, super comfortable, btw...highly recommend them). my days off the stand are spent in the greenlines, one pair or the other.
they're boardshorts, not a fashion statement.
