2001 Jeep Cherokee, 4wd, roof rack...black exterior, only 44k on it. it's pretty sweet. I can carry my boards on the top and fold the seats down inside so I can sleep at night haha.

2007 Hyundai Tucson - 21 mpg city - 25 mpg hwy - I can fit up to a 9'6" LB on the pass side with the seats folded down or put em on the roof rack. I had a 88 Suburban but the gas was killing me. I got nothing for it because I sold it when gas was close to 4$ gal. I want to get a diesel powered conversion van. A neighbor has one he says gets 20 mpg on the hwy if you stay under 65 mph. Its also loaded with handicap stuff for his son.

dunno how they hold up, but i know how horrible they are on gas...never mind the fact that only posers think that escalades make good surf-mobiles.

not that i have any room to talk. i drive a 2002 nissan altima w/ yakima racks. the back seats are split 60/40, so i can put a shortboard inside & still be able to put someone back there if need be. the log (obviously) goes on the racks.
i don't generally go surfing w/ a whole crew in tow, so it suffices.

my ideal surf vehicle would be a jeep cherokee 4x4. those things are bomb proof!

hahahaha i'm not a poser as far as i know. ive always liked the escalade before i even started surfing ever since prolly kindergarden. i can get an old one cheap with about 150k on it i dunno how that would hold up.

I wouldnt get it . Its expensive to fix and maintain. I would get a Subaru Outback or something like that with AWD. They are easy and cheap to fix and maintain and will last forever if you take care of it
