    Haven't towed with my FJ. It does have a good level of pop on the highway between 50 - 90mph;
    also has a lotta torque and traction in sand & snow, if that's any help.

    Only thing that ever went wrong with it was the alternator croaked at 80k. Oh, and the original tires on the first-gen FJ's had a nasty tendency to explode for no discernible reason. All 5 tires were replaced under a tire recall.

    2000 jeep cherokee, basically stock except for an aftermarket head... stupid chrysler
    '79 jeep cj5, nearly daily driven and built for fun by my own hands, I just wish there was room for an OD trans so it would be more highway friendly

    banman...i hear ya...i bought a CJ7 Renengade for 4k for my first ride...loved the hell outta that thing, and still kills me to this day that i got rid of her.

    goodvibes...thanks, i've been thinking about seeing what i could get for it and buying a new one, but this one has the closest body style to my old CJ...so it's still up in the air. It took a while for the new ones to grow on me, they do look pretty good jacked up.
