It's classless and douchey, but then again so is Clinton. I guess this falls into the category of justifying bad behavior with more bad behavior. Regardless, there was enough other low hanging fruit that he could have gone after that wasn't as taboo as marital infidelity. As that fox news article referenced earlier succinctly stated: debate prep matters
why should someones morals be questioned since marital infidelity shows bad character especially when people might elect someone who didn't have the courage to leave.
all kidding aside, imposing our own moral values on others gets real subjective, real quick. One person might say that staying with a cheating spouse shows immorality and lack of courage. Another person might think that staying together (despite infidelity) for the sake of keeping both parents involved in raising young daughter can be a moral decision. This aspect of Hillary (and Trump - he's flagrantly cheated as well) bothers me a whole lot less than countless other things these candidates bring to the table.
A cheater is someone with bad morals. That is a really bad decision and shows the character of the person which is scary when they have to make ethical decisions for Americans. They only care about themselves. Now, if the consent was fine all around, then have fun. I don't think either candidate has high morals. Someone of cheats isn't a mistake, it shows their integrity and how they treat those they love. Never trust someone who turns his back on family, ever. Trump has cheated and is a perfect example. He has bad ethics. Hillary also shows bad judgement and morals with her actions even outside of marital infidelity. The problem is she was a doormat for Bill. They still could have raised their daughter after separating. I'm sure Chelsea knows about Willy Billy. She was humilated and didn't fight back. Instead of blaming her husband, she blamed these women and ruined their career. A true leader wouldn't stand for being a doormat and would have left. Both candidates are bad in this area but I don't think the topic should be off limits. Maybe if it's brought up and both candidates look like weasels/idiots, people may consider a third party candidate who has the morals to lead America. Morals stem from family values and how you treaty your family. If that is bad, it will be a domino effect in all other areas of politics.
I don't disagree with you. I think that's one of the things that people like about Trump, is his willingness to bring sh!t like Hillary's treatment of Bill's dalliances. I think this particular instance was more about Trump deciding on the fly that he didn't want to go down that road with her daughter sitting right there. Either way, I'm sure there is plenty more juicy mudslinging to come
Morality has too much subjectivity for debates. Other than entertainment value, it would screw up the debates. Having said that, one area where Hillary is stupid beyond tears, is the failure to recognize when Bill cheated on her, he also was betraying Chelsea. And that, for any mother, should be unforgivable. Unless of course, you are either stupid, or very egocentric....or liberal.
I'm pretty sure it has more to do with his campaign staff telling him to stay away from the topic. I doubt that he grew a conscience at that moment. Media asked him about that topic the entire week leading up to the debate and he said he was unsure if he bring it up, but would if he needed to. I'm sure his campaign manager told him that if he did bring it up Hillary would be prepared and spin it back on him
Yup... And it's not like he was banging a hooker (although I'm sure he was). It was not just cheating, it was as disrespectful as you could possibly to your family...
It really is a losing situation to bring it up. It doesn't bring anything new to light that people don't already know. People already have their judgement made up on it. If it was the other way around though, do you think she would stay away from the topic? IDK about that one.
Well there's still time left, he might be holding onto that card for a strategic play if needed. Like I said, he saved the best for last, so if he is feeling desperate, he might throw a hail marry lol
