recently i was offered a job at a place called isla silva de afuerte off the pacific coast of panama. i gladly excepted the offer and plan to leave january first. i am looking for some stoked people to come and live with me on the island. rent is 15 dollars a day for a bed 5 dollars a day for a tent. there is a left and a right reef break on the island and endless other breaks near by. it would be nice to start a small surfing community who can support and progress each other in and out of the water. let me know if anyway is interested and ill get your contact info and we can make some plans. peace!
There's a dood living in Maine who may want to go. Just be advised that he'll probably want to bring his latex love dolls / beating-fetish mannequins, and, well, Panamanian Customs may have a problem with that.
This article gives the light in which we can observe the reality.I like this kind of blog. Thanks for sharing informative information with us.
Interested but wouldn't be able to make it out there until June, and would need a job like everyone else has said.
Informative posts like this on topics such as surfing and pro surfing aspirant looking for surfers to live on panamanian island are appreciated.
guys this island is uninhabited for the most part, and it is 'managed?' by steve at morro negrito who is having some legal issues. it seems he lays claim to something that isnt his if anyone else is living on this tiny (few acres) island they WONT want to see you this is a trap and a trainwreck, youd be better off checking out somalia http://morronegrito.travel/panama-island-adventures/ http://forum.surfermag.com/forum/sh...n=102008&Words=+Kidd+Furry&topic=&Search=true
Well done pump. there are no jobs there, there aren't even buildings on the island, there may or may not be huts. Did you even google the place?
do we all have to wear purple Nike board shorts and eat the "candy" you give us when the next comet comes by?
I don't think living on an uninhabited island is a good career move for an aspiring pro surfer. Although you may have plenty of waves to surf, you will suffer from an extreme lack of competition and prize money.
