At first glance, I was going to comment that I haven't worn a pair of Birdwell's since 1976.

Then I thought, "Why does this guy look like Greg Mungall so much?" Yup, it's Mungall from the late 70's, so this pic doesn't really qualify as "hipster". He was the real deal, and this was almost 40 years ago.

On another note: I use an electric chainsaw, but bench 2X my weight. No pushups or pre-mix petrol necessary.

 

I've cut down trees with a sawzall. You use the tools you got.

 

the bush blade for the sawzall is great for small/medium size stumps, you can bury that blade in the ground while powering away and it it doesnt bring grime and dirt back into the motor housing like a chain saw

True with the BB guns and fireworks but it was all fun and games. When we were teenagers we use to walk down a main road with 22s and nobody thought twice about it. Can you imagine that nowdays?
