Swellinfo if you can answer this I'd be much obliged: Seems to me that with the swell direction out of the SSW east facing beaches wont see much of it. With that in mind arent most of the predictions bigger than what they will actually be?
see, i thought that too...and it makes sense, but the last two times(within the past 2 months) that i thought this way and drove up to emerald isle and then to topsail, it was pretty much the SAME DAMN SIZE as in wrightsville and in CB. There were some bigger peaks for sure, but the downside is that the wind was WSW to west which isnt very offshore up north...especially when its gusting. also, its colder up there, and it just wasnt worth it overall. i dont think that the direction is too steep on this one(knock on wood), and hopefully we'll get something close to what the forecast says.
