http://www.worldsurfleague.com/events/2015/mct/1207/quiksilver-pro-gold-coast Judging by the forecast, they're going to run tomorrow in halfway decent waves then grovel for the rest of the comp. I'm predicting a very underwhelming Snapper contest this year. Fantasy Surfer: The Swell Info Crew clubhouse is active, everyone from last year should join in again! Unfortunately I'm not going to head the winner takes all contest this year, I just don't have the time to maintain it. BUT, if someone else wants to take the reigns on that end, please do--I'll gladly throw in $5 or $10 or whatever is decided on. I closed entries after the third comp last year, so if someone wants to head it this year that's probably a good way to do it to make sure there is enough participation. I'm still the admin for the clubhouse, NCSaltwater is my handle. So, it's not like I haven't read threads here and there or anything like that but from the looks of it, I've missed a lot. A couple things I need to address from the posts I did catch that referenced me: Clemson: Sorry we didn't get to hang when I was down there for Regionals last year. I ended up leaving the morning after my division's first round with my tail between my legs. My first heat was a comedy of errors with the crazy wind and the sideways breaking windswell. I couldn't hear chitt from the beach when I was in the water, the only good wave I caught was.... before the heat started. I looked at the judges' tower, saw the green flag and figured our heat was on. Unfortunately the flag was green because the person in charge of the flag was either on heroine or too drunk to change it to red before the heat started. I got fourth and didn't advance. I'm still kinda mad about it. Anyway, much to my chagrin you continue to use Gorilla Poo to hold those awesome boards you're building together. I'll continue to hate that god-forsaken fizzy crap until the day I die, but keep doing what works for you... I'd just hate for one of those works of art to fall apart under your feet. Haha Gaff: I still haven't figured out how to grow a pizza plant. I helped a friend of mine build the most awesome greenhouse this side of the West Coast, so it still may be a possibility. I'll let you know if it happens. SJB: I've lost track of your many iterations. I hope you're well. Now, The World of Erock has been crazy, folks. Long story short: First I changed careers at the beginning of 2014 from being a job-hating recruiter to a Realtor. Then my wife got preggers, so I started picking up all sorts of side work to fill in the gaps while I was beginning to build my real estate business. By the end of Summer I was so busy on all three fronts I couldn't see straight. Oct. 5th my wife gave birth to our daughter, full term and seemingly one of the healthiest babies anyone could possibly hope for... two and a half hours later chitt went way sideways.... way, way sideways like I hope none of you will ever have to imagine much less experience. Maybe I'll elaborate on this more sometime in the future. She's doing a hell of a lot better but we've still got a long road ahead of us and so far it's been anything but easy. I'll end this novella with this: My FS team (pending further adjustments) is KS JJF Jordy Flippy Banting House of Payne (most likely to change given the forecast) Christie Reynolds That, and PM me if anyone's looking to buy, sell or buy and sell any property in the Greater ILM.
i hope your baby is better and the situation is stable. i'm a realtor (actually, just a principal these days) and a father of two teens.....any questions i'll be happy to advise and if i don't know the answer i won't fabricate one.
Erock! What's up. Sorry for whatever happened, I hope everything turns out okay for you, and your family.
