Im down to 2. I must of been drunk when I put my team together. My last 2 are Mick and Nat, so hopefully they can finish strong to help me out. most of my team got eliminated by less then a point.

I'm down to two as well, Slater and Young. At least they're in different heats this round.

 

That parko/Mendina heat was terrrrribly judged. Parko got robbed.


Also Freddy P in the rd 5 v CJ got robbed.

 

You got that right about Parko, he was totally robbed. That 8.5 by Medina was overscored by a full point or more. I couldn't believe they gave him that high a score, especially compared to Parko's first wave 9.

 

i want to find a video of the Freddy P interview after his heat with CJ. He was PISSED!

 

I don't get it. Medina is awesome, but I didn't think he deserved high 7s and 8s for continual backhand cuts. I am really confused. He's been robbed before, so maybe its fitting. But I thought the ASP was finally going to fix the scoring enigma.

 

I thought Mick got robbed in his heat with Medina. That 9 something Medina got was over scored compared to Micks 7.20. I didn't think it was better then Micks wave because he did basically the same turn over and over. Although it was a sick wave. Even if the judges thought it was betters then Micks wave a 9 something was way to high and made that heat near impossible for Mick to come back. A high 7 or low 8 would of made Mick need a more do able score with such little time left. They basically ended the heat early throwing him that 9. Just my .02

I was super impressed with Mitch Crews, Owen looked promising, and Dion Akitson surfed better then I expected. Looks like this is going to be an exciting season


EDIT- just watched the two waves again, Medinas wave was better then Micks but I still think a 9.40 over scored

 

I had a decent showing in the first contest....placed 6th on the men's side and 1st on the women's in our club. Medina saved it for me as I lost most of my heavy hitters early on. Freddy P (he did get robbed against CJ) and M Crews came through for me too.

 

damn you Erock! i will beat your ass this season!
