So its a possibility that i will be relocating to the Wilmington area soon and was looking at places for rent on zillow. My dad is a real estate agent so i will work through him, but are there any areas that you fellas would avoid or areas you would like to live around Wilmington? I don't need to live in the city so areas around would be cool too. Wouldn't mind driving like 20-40 minutes for work. I am currently commuting around 150 miles round trip.

DE or NC? (Not that I have any answers for either, but it may help others.)

North Carolina. Sorry forgot to include that. Was thinking about somewhere near the beach... rent just can't be too ridiculous and I only need a one bedroom one bath place

Wrightsville Beach is a funky beach town with fun surf, and a nice climate. Problem is you're competing with all the UNCW students (and summer vacationers) for rentals.

There's plenty of people on here who live in the area who can give better details.

Yeah that's true captjaq. I also can't really live in certain places due to what I do for a living and downtown is one of the places i can't live

What do you do for a living?

You could chase college chicks and some waves.

    Avoid ISIS controlled areas.

Literally did not even think about CB... and yeah Hanna I am in law enforcement. I've been traveling for a long time every day for work and kinda tired of driving. I love where I live, in the woods with no neighbors but I think I need change. !

Just got done doing that except mine was 60 miles there and 60 miles home. At one point I was spending a couple hundred a month on gas and then tolls and then the wear and tear on my vehicle. Now I'm 10 minutes from home and I love it. Good luck B, hope ya find a decent place!

I averaged 200 miles a day when I was employed.
Wait until you retire; if you are within walking distance to the beach, you have to clear away the spider webs from the car when you need to go elsewhere.

It's just tough driving an hour and a half to work, working 12.5 hours then driving an hour and a half home again.

when i lived down there, the wilmington PD and the New Hanover county sherrifs where popping mad unarmed civillians. I think it was like 5 shooting deaths in 4 months of unarmed civilians, one being my girlfriends friend. All of em givin paid administrative leave. Disgusting.

alright man we just might, but just keep in mind that despite the fact that firefighters and cops both have high divorce rates for the occupation, only one of the group lays hose, and gets them wet on the reg.

Aint no quality LEO calendars out there, just saying.
