I ordered a soft top for my (young) kids for an end of school present. Unpacked it and it had a cut on top about 18" long and 3/4" deep near the midcenter of the board. Company never responded but Ebay refunded our account ($80.00). Does anybody know of a way to fix the cut? Basically a free board so we'll use it regardless. Thanks for your help.

Duct Tape? Maybe a little bit of expanding foam first? That should get you through the summer, and you won't have to worry about it getting trashed... It's been pre-disastered!

Thanks for the info! It looks like some one used a razor blade to unpack. You can barely see it. I think I'll try the hot glue as it seems fairly easy. What this world be with out duct tape? I'm sure it will be trashed in a season but thats what it's for. I got to get them surfing so I'll have a ride to the beach in the future. JK

GE silicon caulk repaired a gash in my soft top board.

This months Surfer magazine has an article on the pros riding soft tops as a new trend and a pic of Jamie O'Brien riding a hot pink soft top in an overhead wave. You and I are trailblazers :)

I've used marine caulk on some bodyboards before also works pretty well...

^^^^ 5200 or Goop. Tape it off so it doesn't look too sloppy.
