Resin in the Eye

Anyone here ever lose some flesh to a planer? Or get catalyst in the pudhole? You can let me know so I don't feel alone in my stupidity.

Today, for the first time, I managed to get resin in my eye.

I was trying to bang out a big-ding hotcoat and a little glob flicked off the f*cking brush and went right into my eye.

I realized immediately ,and my first dumb thought was, 'how long is this gonna take to burn'? Well about a second later, I was squinting and running upstairs. My second dumb thought was, 'I have to find the Material Safety Data Sheet for resin.' Googling through one eye, I finally found one, and realizing that I should have already been flushing my eye with water, I run to the bathroom.

Many shot-glass flushes later (It's sad that I actually I have a preferred shot glass for this), it was still blurry and burning. So I ran to my faucet, which fortunately has one of those detachable heads. With my head in the sink I blasted my eye for a good 15 minutes. The water pressure actually started hurting more than the resin burn, but I wanted that sh*t out of my eye.

Now, about six hours and beers later, the burn is pretty much gone, but it still feels like I've got something stickin' in my eye.

That sucks bro... Glad the beer is helping.

I got crazy glue in my eye when I was kid (actually my older brother held me down and squeezed it in). Fuked me up for a bit, but I made it out ok.

I used to bottom paint boats. Used to get huge gobs in my eyes. I can still see. Your good. But man does that sheet burn.
