Can someone please tell me why there are zero waves in most of the area in between matunuck area and weekepaug point/quonie beach? I'm talking about miles and miles of exposed beach..charlestown beach, quonie beach, east beach, east matunuck state beach(obviously the reef to the west breaks) ect. I've never seen anything remotely rideable at any of these beaches. Even during hurricane bill the sea was basically just surging right onto the sand. Is this area shadowed by block island? No swell direction seems to get in there though. I find this really strange. I'm not talking about closing out. I'm talking like long island sound flatness or breaking oddly right ON the sand at all tides. Why are there absolutely no sand bars on any of these beaches?
