A buddy of mine just gave his old surfboard, it eeds some tlc, but overall, not too bad of shape. Still pretty light actually. He said he had it back in the 70's when he used to surf. It's a Rick, I had to do some research. Pretty cool stuff

Do a full on restoration. Sand off the gloss coat completely, fix all the dings, and re-gloss/polish. That board will ride like $hit, but it's a cool old piece of history. Even had a well known presence here on the East Coast.

Back in "the days", Rick made great boards.
California maker, if I remember correctly. Only saw a few when I lived in PR, but each one was well made.

I would love to own that one pictured.

This was hung up in my buddies pole barn for quite a while so it was pretty dirty, so I rinsed it off. I am going to assess the damage and probably just fixed the dings for now. Maybe full restoration later. I would like to try it, though! NJ Glide, this thing is still pretty light considering its age. I did read Ricks bio to get a little more back ground, let's say, I am proud to own this.
