    1. Time for delivery- Order was placed on 9/5 and ready by 10/1. Much sooner than promised.
    2. Input and design- Mike worked with me via email and phone until I was totally comfortable about moving forward. He has a ton of expertise doing this.
    3. Cost- 650 with the 5 box set up and included the fins pictured.
    4. Dims- 6'0x 19x 2 and 3/8. Volume- 28L
    5. The ride- I had the good fortune to break her in on some hurricane swell courtesy of Joaquin. Conditions were HH and clean with some plus sets. I knew with the first drop this thing was a winner. Fast and very responsive. Got around sections that surprised me. Able to get some really good turns and still keep a ton of speed. Just feels so good right away...been on a lot of boards and this is just sooo good.
    6. Durability- She is spankin new and I have only had it out 3 days. The rep is that these are very tough and long lasting ( even though it is lighter than my other boards of similar size). After the 3 long days of riding it hard- not even one pressure ding that I can see.
    Conclusion- Get one.

lol I swear that was my board today when I saw the first pic. Not only was I out on a round tail, it had those exact FCS2's in it, and one of the fins got yanked out on the first sneaker I got caught inside on. Needles to say, I ripped the other side fin out (FCS2 perk), shoved it in behind my front zip on my suite, then proceeded to surf for two hours on a slidey as fock 30L single fin.

Nice board bud. Glad you got stoked on it and the stick was destined for greatness arriving for this swell. Have been digging the hell out of my Coil Megamind finally the last month or so after dialing it in on smaller stuff. Had felt odd to me until recently. I look forward to adding a Coil like yours to the quiver at some point.

Very nice board. I've been extremely happy with my coils. They've kind of ruined other boards for me. They aren't unbreakable or anything, but they wear very little from day to day use and ride so well, like a good light poly, that doesn't lose that new board snap.

Mike really knows his stuff too. He's got lots of experience, and if your honest with him about abilities needs etc, he dials it in. Everything he shapes has a performance edge to it. The last board I had him make is a longboard buster. Not really his thing. He agreed, with some reluctance, and the thing is amazing. In the waves it's intended for (small gutless crap) it's so incredibly sharp and edgy considering what it is, it amazes me. He's a true talent for sure.

best thing is, they don't cost much more than an off the rack name brand, but they hold up so much better.

Coil gets consistently superb reviews for everything he shapes.

Curious....what are the dims on your 'longboard buster'...?

6' x 23 x 3.....1.65 cu ft. Wide nose and very wide tail, quad. Shaped for me at 215lbs on the higher end of the volume range Mike had suggested. Perfect for 1-2' weak wind swell.

They are moving forward with smooth tech. I wanted something very durable (tend to be hard on boards) and he said this was the strongest and longest lasting.Decided to have faith in his advice on that.
