Love the audio clips in there, then there's this one: No disrespect to those among us who ride these responsibly.
I think you're only disrespecting a few people on the planet. I've still yet to come across a SUP that doesn't think every wave is their wave.
After watching this video with all the moms spectating on the beach I thought...Does a surfer mom drive a caravan, like a soccer mom?
These people have way too much time on their hands. Waves look pretty good...I wouldn't be wasting them on that crap.
Ridiculous indeed. I think I saw only one SUP in that video that looked like it was designed for surf (a girl had a nice ride going left near the end of the video). The rest looked like flat water racing sups (must've been some sort of race out and back??), and they were paddling out straight into the break (they missed the circuitous discussion).. the fastest route to the peak is not a straight line! I do give props to the guy who did the headstand .. he had some skills. And I'm sure there were commemorative t-shirts and a fun time had by all .. well those that avoided injury.
Yes, she was noticeable. And I think one of the dudes in the referee stripes may have had a surf sup.
I always laugh at that commercial for "probiotics", in which idiot yuppies drove from the suburbs to a course out in the country, put racing numbers on their chest and carry big logs up a hill. ...seems to me you could accomplish some yard work at home and get the same amount of exercise.
