Yes very safe. The majority of folks in Rincon are transplants from the Northeast. The only thing that's not a safe bet is the surf. Although it can get epic in the winter months, it also suffers from the same flat spells that plague the east coast. Best scenario is to book a trip on the fly when swell is forecasted. Good luck.

Stretch! Good to see you down there over thanksgiving. Hope youre doing well. Rincon is safe, just be smart like anywhere else in the US or world. lock your car, keep your valuables in a safe place. We were there 12 days and the waves were good enough everyday to surf. Have a blast.
