I remember watching the girls a while back and thinking I could win every women's comp. They just looked like average surfers.
Now, they are ripping. There has been huge progression the last coule of years for the lady's. It's very cool.
I'd love to see them at Chopes (in a real swell) and see how they do... I think that will be the next level of their progression.

 

i'd like to see them go back to hawaii first...i'm not sure how you can crown a legitimate world champion w/ no stop in hawaii & only 5 or 6 events (3 of which are in australia).
the level of surfing has exploded on the women's tour, but it still seems to lack legitimacy in the eyes of the industry.
