Long may you ride Butch Trucks. You finally get to jam with Duane and Berry again.

Ever hear Derek trucks play? Seen the tedeschi trucks band a few times. And saw him play with the allman brothers a bunch of times. Guy absolutely rips

I've seen him with both bands as well. He rips plus he infused new life into the Brothers for their last couple of runs. I saw the Allmans in AC about 3 or 4 years ago which was the last time I saw them with the Derek Trucks/Warren Haynes combo. They almost played the entire Live at the Filmore album which is my favorite. Fantastic show.

I'm only 27 but my pops brought me up right. I seen the allman brothers a good 8 or 9 times. Maybe more. Everytime they were around we saw them, including there last shows. They don't make bands like that anymore. Jamming for hours. Never the same set. Hell even if they play the same song....could be a 3 minute version or a improvised 15 minute version. True musicians.

Anyway, not to change the topic. I apologize.

That's cool, I like jam bands. Just never seen them live or anything.

No apologies needed. That is awesome that you got to see them as much as you did.

Allman Brothers are the sh!t. I went to see them year after year at the Beacon and it was always awesome.
But the best night I ever had with them as at Jones Beach. I just remember it being so nice, 65 degrees, and then there was the mescaline. Such a fun night... Those were the days.

Yeah man, I loved those Beacon shows. Did you mellow on the mescaline or go bonkers?

Derek is sick. I've seen them many times at the Beacon. Unreal shows.

Saw them twice. Once in 1970 (if I remember correct), Duane was still alive and playing.
Saw then after he died, but Oakley was still alive, ****y Betts took center stage with guitars.
Both concerts were fantastic. Butch and Jai played at both (dual drummers).
