So I'm trying to go ahead and buy my new wetty now as my old psycho is starting to fall apart and I've always bought O'neill suits, but the other day I came across the E-bomb from rip curl and it felt so light, Im wondering if anyone on here has worn this suit out in the line up
Im also specifically talking about the chest zip, i dont really like back zip as it seems like it lets more water in than the chest zip.

chest zip is def the way to go. I have an f-bomb and it is a good suit but the fluid welds keep tearing. i had to send it back 3 times in the last 2 years. I just replaced it with a new Xcel Infinity and from everything I've read and heard, it's the best suit you can buy.

yeah, xcel has been top quality for me also. my infin 4/3 has been rock solid, and i'm going to go for the same infiniti line for my next 5/4/3. definitely recommend it

    Ebomb:
great wetsuit. super warm, flexable, and light. i have the 3/2 chest zip. the only problem is a little section of the outer stitching is freying. however thats not really a problem because 1. its taped on the inside 2. ripcurl has a lifetime warrenty on stitching.

    amazing suit.

stick with rip curl and send it back every summer for tape, seam, zipper, panel replacement. it's always free, and it only takes a week or 2. i've had just about every brand of suit, and they all fall apart. being able to get it fixed for free is key, and why i will never buy anything other than rip curl. oneill will fix your suit, but they charge for it, and a lot of it "isn't under warranty".

    READ THIS!!
im glad you guys say that because i've had 2 excel wetsuits one 4/3 and one 3/2 both chest zip. the 3/2 is a drylock (level zipper track that can come detatched from zipper) and the 4/3 is the infinite dry lock (angled zipper that doesnt come off the zipper track) and both are mangled. the 4/3 lost the piece that covers the wrist and im almost losing the other one too. because the threading in the whole suit is messed up. it also has a tear by the neck and i need a new suit. the 3/2 is terrible because since the neck zip is supposed to come off of the track, it allows both sides of the neck whole to rip. altough only once sice is ripped for me, it is ripped about the whole way to the shoulder. it lets the whole wave in every time i duck dive. do not get into my situation. i do recommend a chest zip but not excel. go for ripcurl or west. i heard west is great but havent tried it. thats what im buying next though.... but if you want the worst wetsuits ever go excel. i thought they were awesome until they wore away biiig time

Mail it in with a letter with your contact information and what you think is wrong and where. you will get it back within 2 or 3 weeks with everything you mentioned fixed, as well as whatever else they feel is wrong. the last time i sent mine back they:

    -replaced an entire leg
    -retaped the entire suit
-restitched the chest & crotchal regions
    -replaced all the zippers
-replaced the elastic around the neck and chest
-re"welded" a few of the tension spots

the damn thing was like a brand new suit when i got it back.

Why not support an East Coast company

    http://www.hyperflexusa.com/

Their suits are as good as any of the companies listed above. I wore O'Neill psycho 2's for years and my Hyperflex Amps are as good if not better and over $100 less.

I LOVE my Hyperflex 5/4/3. Best suit Ive ever bought. cant say after a whole winter worth of weekends that anything is wrong. i am now replacing my 4 year old 3/2 POS with a hyperflex hopefully soon. love the chest zip too! i sometimes forget to close it or a wave rips it open but very little water gets in and it never flushes.

I just bought a 6/5/4 hyperflex amp, 5mm boots and gloves for $320. You can't beat their price and every review I have read about them has been great.
