After being injured and rehab i FINALLY got to put some serious water time in with this board that i got last fall. It's 5' 10x 2.5x 20.5 shaped by Jon Ashton ( I'm 6'1" and 178lbs). FIrst time out i didnt like it very much. It ias a super small sweet spot and i had huge issue finding it. However once i did, it was a joy to ride. The quad makes it blazingly fast and being short, it turns/pivots like a performance shape. Ive ridden it in shin high to chest high and it works great in all. The rounded nose makes catching waves a breeze as well as keeping speed through flat/chop sections. No need for a log with this board in the quiver!

Shape looks nice; colors are suspect.
I have one similar to it, but a bit longer.....

    I have a fairly similar custom. It's 5'8 x 19.5 x 2.5
Round tail. Besides that it is a very similar shape. I too love the fact that I can ride it in anything. Granted on smaller days its not the best choice in my quiver, but it gets the job done. The rounded nose deffinitly helps keep that speed and paddlebility up without sacrificing maneuverability much due to it being short.

I'm glad your enjoying it. Mine has the 5 fin box setup, but Iv only ridden it as a quad maybe three times. Just never got into the quads. But I think I deffinitly should keep trying when conditions call for it.

by coincidence. I dont buy pop outs and Jon has made a swallow tail version of this shape for years now. I suggested the squash because I have always liked that tail.
