Road Trip from El Salvador--> Nicaragua Hey all, Going to be living in el salvador for the next 2 months (october/november) and am very interested in doing a road trip down to Nicaragua. Have never traveled or surfed in Nicaragua, but know El Salvador pretty well and speak fluent spanish. I'll be traveling with some of my Salvadoran friends so I feel pretty comfortable driving through C.A. Wondering if anyone has done this drive before and has any tips. Pretty much looking for any tips or advice on where to visit in order to score the best waves possible at the lowest price. Happy to stay in modest housing as long as quality surf is near by. Was thinking northern/central coast (el transito or puerto sandino) is most likely destination, simply because it's closer, but i'm not really sure how much further popoyo area is and if it's worth the extra drive. Thanks
I'm half salvadoran...Was born in el salvador, have family here, and have been returning several times a year for most of my life. A menos que tiene algun consejo que pertenece al tema por favor callese -___-
ok huevonito - i'll tell 'ya what i know. don't know the north coast; have heard rumors of a good left in puerto sandino but don't have details, i can tell 'ya that popoyo is a WONDERFUL wave; beware the outside left as it REALLY IS AN EXPERTS ONLY WAVE. In gigante you could stay w/dale dagger and surf ponga drops or manzanillo. if you stay in sjdsur theres playa madera or hop on a boat out of that picturesque harbor. also at popoyo expect - puta un montan de - compania brasileros y argentenios....
Thanks. Anyone have cheap housing suggestions in puerto sandino or popoyo? Thinking i'll probably spend a couple nights in the north then make my way to popoyo area if i can find cheap housing there
Or on my side of the continent, "no mames, buey". Oh yeah, and what Chich said...def bring the mags for good trading.
oye huevonito - don't thank me for the info i gave you for free that took me thousands of $ and hours to learn. don't say anything.
You're quite the piece of work trailerpark. The quote you replied to started off with a "thanks"....? Not quite sure what you're looking for...I appreciate the advice but don't act like you're advice offered anything more than the first 5 hits on google... get over yourself dood
