That’s right, the world’s foremost gathering for surfboard design and innovation will be co-located at Surf Expo and open to the public—and you’re invited. Not only will The Boardroom feature the Icons Of Foam Shape Off, live music from Lady and the Tramps and The Supervillains, photo galleries, autograph signings, movie premieres, slide shows, and more than 40 exhibits of surfboard design and culture, it will feature onsite “roadshow” style appraisals from experts. You are invited to bring your vintage boards, surf memorabilia, magazines, classic surf posters and more to The Boardroom. Your garage might hold hidden treasures, but you’ll never know until you go—to The Boardroom that is. Starting at 10 a.m. - 2pm on Saturday, September 7 “Florida has a long and rich history of surf culture and I’m excited to see the incredible treasures that are no doubt hiding in garages, rafters and boxes throughout the region,” says Scott Bass. “The Boardroom’s goal is the celebrate and exalt all the fine folks behind the surfboard industry, and recognizing great shapers and boards from years past is an important part of what we do. So what do you have in your garage?” The Boardroom is located on the Surf Expo South Hall Concourse of the Orange County Convention Center. Admission is $10. Kids twelve and under and Surf Expo exhibitors and buyers can attend for free.
