Im not a sales rep. Just a ridiculously happy, new owner of a custom DreamCatcher. If you dont own one go get one. Best/fastest board Ive ever had that beats sections and turns on a dime. Its suppozed to be a barrel board but it rips turns hard and fast... Enjoy
Roberts does have nice boards. That dream catcher looks like a barrel board with good range. I thought it was more of a barrel board and cruiser where the meat cleaver looks more for ripping. Do you size it as a step up or more like the short-wide boards? Also, do you like it more than your wrv boards?
No step up dims 5'9" x 19 3/4" x 2 5/8 33liters cuz Im 185lbs. Its kinda like a one board quiver. Im ordering a 3df and a meatcleaver next. The WRVs are boggy compared to this thing it flys!!!! Robert is really onto something with the hidden volume and performance rails. You get easy paddling with shreddability, no compromise...
Maybe it's a good idea to post pics of the board.... Just sayin... I like the nose of the board- but could it handle The Belmar?
Just lettin you boys know whats Good!! Ill post pics tmrw. Tired. Oh and belmar is ok, so many better waves in jers than belmar bro...
Those are nice. Robert Weiner really likes very deep concaves, easily the deepest I have ever seen. They seem to work well under the right dudes though. What is your weight and height? What is it like riding those shortboards with noses wider than the tails? I see surfers riding Hayden hyptos with a similar outline and they are always standing up in front of the fins. Guess if they are short enough and the surf is strong that shouldn't be a deal. Maybe able to test drive in some O-head jerz bowls soon? Like a new girlfriend and a hot tub...Woo Hoo!
Don't be mad brad, I had a stick like that when I was learning as well. No shame in it bro, fat chicks need some loving too. Own it.
HA HA HA, I must be a fat boy, too at 185/189 depending on how good dinner was. I ride a 5'10" with 32 liters, Lost V3
It IS a nice board and shape. I was thinking of getting a hope diamond, but customized to my dimensions (narrower & thinner), as it would make a great travel board. But, for the time being, I have enough boards (8). When one poops out, I will go for it.
I would not--I would write straight to Roberts first and order the custom board, and have it shipped to my destination. It is the way I normally do things on custom made boards. If a shaper needs to send to a surf shop, I let them pick the one they work with. They decide; I appreciate their custom work and willingness to work with me to provide me with a board to my liking. To me that is worth their weight (or mine) in gold.
maybe I got you all wrong barry wow you can call him direct and do that really ??? you must be special o barry
