Found out the about the odd IP address banning lately. They had some hacking or something over the weekend.

 

They should ban you for catching so many damn fish! HA HA

 

I've been unbannable lately then. Fishing has been really tough this summer, bay flounder is the worse I've seen it in years, croaker are tiny, small stripers are even thin.

Some members that chimed in earlier on this tread have since been banned. Shelldonne, metard and who knows who else are in time out. Presumably for trying to go around the curse word censor.

This is beyond stupid at this point. SS told me he wasn't even aware of this new rule. That's because it is hidden in a sticky that's hard to see at the top of the forumme. He apparently did not see Austin's posts in some other tread discussing this. At least give folks a warning first or something. It seems that some people just want to assert their authority. Anonymously at that. Is it that much fun to ban people?

Then we have the seemingly randomme IP bans. What's up with that? I get it. It's your bat, your ball and your playing field so therefore we play by your rules. But at least make the rules obvious to those that are expected to play by them. Changing the rules mid-game and not telling people and then playing Gotcha is pretty lame IMO.

It's no wonder nobody comes around here anymore.

 

Actually... I think its kind of nice. I don't think SS and Metard should be excluded, but have you noticed that there are no political **** storm threads on the front page now? It seems all of that was prompted by the few that have been banned. Most of the people responding to those posts, including myself, have no real interest in politics on a surf website, and if no one brings it up, there are no posts about it. The front page now has posts about surf road trips, board choice, storms, etc. Nice not to see 5 threads about Russians, Trump, Climate Change, etc.

 

I went out last week on the Chesapeake. In an hour and a half, I literally caught 30 to 40 schoolie striper. I was free lining bunker, as soon as it hit the water, you could watch them hitting it. No keepers, though.
