Rotator cuff surgery; how long till back paddling out?

    3 torn ligaments, bone spurr, bicep tendon badly torn and off humerus. 9 anchors, one titanium plate. Ortho did spin platelets to speed up healing.


    How long until back out.

    No clue exactly for your specific case. I had a Rotator Cuff repair done and it took me about 4 months to start paddling again. I wanna say I spent 3 months in the arm brace. It was a major surgery; I've got about a 4 inch scar where they opened me up.

    Physical Therapist said that swimming or surfing was probably one of the best rehabs possible!

    I've had 2 surgeries on my my shoulder, due to repeated dislocations. For me, I was out of the water 6 months. You want to take your time and not rush getting back in, because surfing is really hard on the shoulders... It sucks to be out of the water, but take your time and rehab your shoulder before jumping back in the water.
