    Interesting looking board Roy.
The planshape appears similar to one of those Meyerhoffer boards to me.

what are the dimensions and fin placement?

For 1200.00 bucks it better come with a little Vietnamese woman that gives hand jobs on demand.

Yeah there's some similarity to the 'slip in' but we've been using these planshapes since 1998 so it's our own path.

Dimensions are 9'5" by 24" by 3.5" with an 11' tail. Weight will be aimed at around 20 pounds maybe more.

Fin placement will be single with leading edge of fin about 11' to 12" up from the tail, though there will be a fin box to dial that aspect and fin size in.

The big changes for me are a) foam and b) using a tapered profile and thickness over 2.75", plus of course the 3d glass.

There's another one to follow with the widepoint a bit further forward and a more extreme pintail, with a hint of incut.

    Alrighty then, I'll bite.
Here is your chance to explain what 3D glass is.
    Similar to 3D glasses?
Layed up by Dave, finned & hotcoated by Dan and sanded by ****?
    Maybe triaxial oriented fiberglass cloth?
Is this for personal use or a customer?

Something about bonding the glass to the fiber... Would definitely appreciate a detailed explanation of the process though

It's for a big wave rider in Western Australia, if we like this one we'll send it, there are more in the pipeline and this is at the short end of the scale so we'll also be going longer. I'll ride it to see if it handles correctly and then we'll see.

    This is how the 3d glass works;

That's '3d glassing' which is a different concept.

No but we found it while searching 3d printing topics.

3D printing boards would be sweet but it's not quite there yet.

That there video is pretty cool- interesting glass looks super strong... Would you just do one layer? How much heavier is it? Is it visibly thicker? Where do you buy it?

Yes just one layer, the weight is 28ooz so like 4 layers of 5oz but way stronger, it's a 3mm thick layer. Can be bought from parabeam.

No I was talking about 3d glass, which is a fabric. 3D glassing is a method, which doesn't currently involve 3d glass, although it could. A bit confusing but nthere it is.

    No, that's something else entirely.

    It looks promising.

Good morning, Roy. Just want to say, as this is a SURFING message board, that I appreciate your efforts here. I do like the shape of that gun. Regrettably, here on the East Coast USA, we have little use for such a board. But, some of us do travel to surf, so we can clearly see its utility elsewhere.
