If your design goal is efficiency, shouldn't you make a prone board? Isn't a bit of energy and time wasted with standing up?

I get your drift, I'm thinking of Western Australia.

Says the fellow who wrote that he'd like to see me "raped and murdered by a psychopath".

You are remarkably sensitive to subtle and/or imagined slights for someone who posts such violent sentiments and wishes.

My comment was purely factual by the way.

When roy says WA he means western Australia. I think. Considering the guy the boards for is from Australia. Not Washington.

I do get why you say your boards are responsive/perfomance and all that. Now. But come on, your kind of using a play on words. I'll give it to you, for a what there designed for, they do perform well. There's no shame in saying you make a responsive cruiser that performs well for what it's intended for. But call it a cruiser because that's what it is. You seem like a smart guy, you know people are going to think of a more maneuverable board with words like responsive and performance. You said it your yourself, performance is relative to the goal. Then why not mention that in your description of your boards? Basically your intentionally misleading people, then you act like a condescending jerk to people who question your designs. I don't get the point in that. You got to be tierd of the hate. Other people are tierd of mislead. And you get more respect not just here, but in the whole surfing community. Seems like a win for everyone if you'd not be so misleading

I never said I was nice to you. I said A4B was polite to you and you ripped on him because he dared question the great and powerful Gnome of Oz?

    That's obvious, nor did I.

Hardly 'ripping on him' to point out that his posts would become more sensible if he realised that 'performance is always relative to a design goal. It's a matter of clear communication.

You attempt to act as the vibe police while posting that you wish me to die violently at the hands of a psychopath.... clearly you are behaving psychopathically yourself in that case and hypocritically to boot. `

Geez, even D!ck Brewer has more humility than this guy.

    Oooh, I almost forgot: "realise".

My bad too when I read 'Washington' I thought 'that's odd maybe it's a surf break in W.A'.

Roy, you're not discussing surfboard design, you're just relentlessly fluffing yourself. You act as if you know all there is about surfing and surfboard design, so why bother with us mere mortals? Maybe your SI time would be better spent redesigning the wheel.

"Performance is always relative to a design goal." So, to me that's you admitting your designing sh*t boards then cause they obviously don't perform. Maybe your goal all along was to design a bunch of crap, and in your eyes you've found success? You fancy yourself an elitist and it's OLD. You obsess over this site from halfway around the world arguing with a predominantly east coast US forum that doesn't care about your completely narcissistic view of your functionless, non responsive, sluggish, tracking longboards and your sh*tty attitude. The pics don't lie, the vids don't lie, the feedback doesn't lie. Your boards are a joke, everyone can see it but you, give it a rest already.

If some of you can get out of the loop of treating everything as social content and start talking design you'll soon find that it is my preferred mode.

It takes at least two for a design discussion.

    Give it a try.

    Clearly they do, perform.

    A ridiculous suggestion.

it didn't take long for your scant allusions to design content to fade away in favour of yet more of the social/psychological vibe mongering which is the lowest common denominator here.

Freedom of expression, I'm all for it up to a point.

Ah the old 'I speak on behalf of everyone' tactic.

As a matter of fact you don't.

During my last session several people paddled over to say how well my board was performing. That often happens.

Just a counter example to your consensus theory.

I have many other examples which are published if you'd like to see them.

In terms of published feedback from riders there's only one negative ( from a competitor so not inpartial) and many positives. So if going for feedback consensus your thesis loses hands down.
