New pic for Lee! It's totally true though, bout people apologizing. It's like the Chinese Restaurant Seinfeld episode where George is steaming at people for using the phone for too long when he's waiting, making a big fuss to Jerry and Elaine, but as soon as the guy hangs up and apologizes, George politely smiles and says no problem. Cut me off, I'm pissed, but if you cut me off by accident, immediately paddle to me afterwards and apologize, well, I probably won't be that pissed anymore. Particularly in the summer mush.
This is the only forum I have ever read where someone can randomly reply to a three year old thread without any discernible reason and the conversation will just keep going like it never stopped. Doesn't bother me, I just find it odd.
Summer surfers don't belong at "main breaks." Or are you referring to the summer designated surfing beach? Well, good luck with mlost of those places. Hey didn't you say you live at least an hour inland yourself? Logs tend to catch waves further outside, so I don't know aboot these shoulder-hopping loggers? I thought young kids were laid-back and respectful? Then you go and stereotype old peoples' driving habits. Man, that is so racist. You...you....you George Zimmerman. You're starting to get a little cocky for a kid who has to ax whether he should move out of his parents house on a surf predictin' website, and whines aboot his social life. I guess the advice you got here has embolden you, huh? And all y'all, stop recirculating threads that should Rest in Peace. If you weren't here for the conversation just let it be. It wasn't meant to be. Good lord who goes hunting for threads from three years ago? Those posts are 21 years-old in dog years.
this thread is too funny to let it die lmao.i wouldn't call Belmar a :surf spot:,more like a kook spot.whats wrong with going to an empty beach?and these "old guys" u speak of,im pretty sure they were there before you.surfings gone mainstream over the past 10yrs and theres more surfers than ever, everywhere!!when u go to a crowded spot,u will get dropped in on.i didn't even know we had waves worth droppin in on over the past month.surfing knee high peelers with 50 guys isn't my style.when its 23ft overhead and seagulls are flying at the water, thats when I strap my 22ft sup on my Toyota corolla and run kooks over.
Ha I am at least partially to blame for furthering the revitalization of this thread - I did not look at post dates once. Though I was wondering who some of the people were.... My bad.
Put a sock on it, sport coat. Better yet, go borrow one of your uncle's outdated razzooo colorful 80's sweaters & watch the "surifng" from the beach.
I'm considering installing curb feelers on my Gran Marquis. Maybe a hemorrhoid cushion in the front seat. Play Lawrence Welk music. I'm 57, so you better watch out, ya young whipper-snapper. Speaking of old, this thread is old.
40 and 50 year olds grew up into 80s and were kids, little ones, or young teens in the 70s. How did you come up with 60s?
A guy cut me off at everyone's favorite virginia beach surf spot this morning. I was already up and cruising so I grabbed his nose and pushed him off the wave. You never know how that kind of thing will end, you know. I ended up complimenting his mustache and everything worked out alright.
Don't surf in Belmar. Fact... Although, as everyone has said, keep quiet, surf as many times as you can, put your dues in, get better and in the end you'll be right in the lineup with everyone else... it's hard to avoid the douchers around here, they're everywhere... just ignore them.
Hey another addict returns after swearing this place off. There's just something aboot this place, huh? Another falls off the wagon. Welcome Back Home, Cepriano !!
Good advise, not only heard that @ my favorite spot some taken it a step further thanking riders for backing out too.
i couldnt figure out how to delete my account so i just try to only troll the pages thats nearest me.belmar is literally 6 minutes from me,and havnt surfed there since 08.belmar/spring lake the same thing.i actually live right around the corner from 711 now and still havnt been to belmar.its a great beach, but not for surfing.in the winter when all the shoobies migrate back up north, then youll have some fun.u dont want to surf in a designated ssurf zone, and it will be the decline of nj if they start imposing it at every beach.just go to an empty beach with no guard.if u do need to surf infront of a lifeguard, then id say stick to belmar
