Does anyone know how far north the beach replenishment took place in Sandbridge? I recently got permission to park at one of the houses just south of Dam Neck and was wondering if the surf sucks as bad there as it does at the market.

The SB replenishment project, which ended about 10 days ago, worked its way north to the south gate of Dam Neck. I was there at the time, and the security guards would chase us out of the area when the actual sand pumping was in progress. The break at the DN south gate is generally higher than other spots off DN - at least that seemed to be the case prior to the replenishment project. I don't know how it compares to the SB market area, as I haven't been there lately. I've had the flu this week and haven't been out since last Saturday (a bit depressing), so I haven't checked current conditions at south DN/north SB.

I remember when they did the beaches to the south. Before the replenishment, parking was restricted along the beach road. the gubmint,(pre Bush) made the "job creators" agree to parking and access before shelling out tax dollars.
