yeah, i was watching Cocoa Beach cam throughout the day, looked really fun...although around here, we're going to be getting landfall with 80 mph winds, not looking too fun.

    Wishing i was in FLA!

Today I got some decent 5' clean waves in South NJ, took my Before pictures of significant areas, and watched the local workers build up dunes to protect the convention center and other important buildings.

I'm starting to get scared, even though I live well inland for the most part... hope nothing happens to my house and most importantly the beaches...

Oh yeah and one more thing... to make this whole storm surge thing even worse...

Tides are going to be higher on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday because of a full moon.

Stay safe guys, I wouldnt suggest staying if you live in NJ- this isnt going to be anything like Irene...

I can't even imagine some people being without power for 7-10 days, that would suck!

Haha, I'm staying and I'm about 3-4ft above my bulkhead. House is likely to be flooded.

Anyone think maybe like Wednesday/Thursday's gonna be good?

I mean by then the rain will be gone and the wind will probably be offshore in most places.. But i have no idea if the ocean swells will stay if the storm isnt over it.

South of me was semi-clean chest high sets from 12-2pm with nobody out.

Got the boat out of the water. Stocked up on food, water, beer, and fuel. Lumber is pre-cut and ready to board up last minute. Tarps and chainsaw at the ready.

Will do my best to take pics and vids.

LBCrew, hat's off to you for checking the surf the way it's meant to be done.

I've been freaking out all day about a property over there and didn't think to surf.
