I was checking it by Deal around 5 PM. I was down one of the streets where the houses are right next to the beach. The waves were breaking over the walls already. Still 3 hours from high tide and the houses were feet from getting hit... I can't imagine how it's going to look tomorrow night!

What a blast we had Central Florida today! Since I only been long boarding a year, we played it safe with body boards only white water. No one else on beach. Lost about half the beach to the storm. It was wicked fun though. They looked like they were breaking clean about 400 yards out on the reef, just gorgeous and seemed like 12 foot out there. Closer in about 40 yards out not so clean, about 8 sometimes 10 foot it seemed. Super strong current from north, 20 mph WNW wind, some occasional side shore.

Super Fish - - nice job in starting, and maintaining, what is one of the finer threads on this site. The info is solid, the pics that people are sending in are amazing, and you've been 'the sheriff' that keeps the thread from getting hijacked. Props & respect; job well done.

was out for an hour and 3/4 today in southern ma/rhode island. wind was solid 25k nearly directly side shore to the direction of the wave/spot, wave heigh probably shoulder to head high at times. The wind was tough to work with though, from blind take offs, to tread milling from the right spot for the wave/getting caught inside (and this is in a place where there are large rocks). Had a couple nice wrecks and ripped a piece of my traction pad off!

Crystal Coast had awesome waves Sat. but way to much water moving you down the beach and 50mph winds. Sunday was much more manageable and still well overhead. First shot is Sat. The rest are from sunday. FYI.... If headed to OBX, HYW 12 is washed out just south of the Bonner bridge and another house at S turns has bit the dust and possible non passage of roadway there also.
