Better hope those north winds don't come quicker than expected or you'll get a free ride to Cuba at st. Joes

Better hope it don't get to nasty on the gulf coast with the Govt shut down. Read earlier some FEMA workers are being brought back from furlough but relief will be tough to come by and man power is very short. Not the best time for a hurricane to hit.

If that really happens it would close out and not be rideable.

HaHa, that won't happen, model is out of whack most likely, best it probably gets is 8ft, anymore and don't know it will hold, so much undetermined with this storm to know for sure at this point

Heard there is a pretty nice sandbar in the Johnson Bayou area. They say it breaks almost like a reef. I couldn't find the beach access last time I drove that way. What time are you going? I was thinking it might be ok at Sea rim in Port Arthur.

Ive never been to Sea rim.

Saturday a couple of us will be in front of the blue house on 82 ( just west of Holly Beach ) about 630am, theres a nice sandbar near the horizontal jettys that works.

I think the sandbar your talking about is near Mae's beach; Im guessing??

Chandeleur Is. is 2.5 at 12 sec this morning... will update what I see this evening and a pic or two.
Ive noticed some peoples knee is others shoulder on here o_O... thus, pics are a must before making a drive!

Lots of folks walking around with boards, very few in the water :).

I got trashed today............. had some good waves but the rip was heavy.

South side(go figure) of Bob was the place to be.

The beach conditions high tide and all made it gross.

Damn I thought this was the slow season!

I have to find a new beach break, to many folks!

It was great to have some swell................Aloha !
