Any more info about the swell saturday? I know its suppose to rain all day friday and clear up by saturday morning but it has been so windy in the past weeks. I have been inland going to school and I am setting work aside to hit the beach because I am going crazy not surfing. I usually go during school when there are hurricanes but this season has been weak. Just wanted to hear what to expect?
where are you planning on surfing? the offshore wind shift looks to happen on sat from south to north on saturday aftenroon. ps. the wave map times were incorrect today - just fixed (6:30pm). the maps didn't update today due to a little bug, but the new maps should be updated around 7:45pm or so.
keep an eye on the updates to see how the winds are looking... as of now, it looks like the surf in ocean city, nj wont clean up until late in the day with the winds staying more W/SW for mid afternoon. and then going more W/WNW around or just before dark. The wind forecast will likely get tweaked a bit over the next 24 hours, so hopefully it leans toward shifting earlier for you. WNW / NW winds are ideal of ocean city, but if the winds are more W/SW then your best bet is around 2nd street rather than the 7th street area.
New model updates looking BUENO for the Mid Atlantic Strong offshore's and current - so choose those spots wisely...
M, Yippy skippy...finally! I hope (although, I'm sure) I will see you out there, charging as usual! "Tomorrow, tomorrow, is just a day away...." J
Thanks for the info guys, I am pumped just to get in the water. It could be 1 foot dribblers and i'd be happy, but this is looking pretty good. Yesterday I got pumped cause I found this awesome photography book called Waves by Steve Hawk. I skimmed through it for about a second then just bought it. The photos are amazing at displaying our beutiful blue playground and the writing is on point.
