Sea Isle surf

Like I said......"around" is relative. To me that's a 10 minute drive one direction or another. To you that may be a 45 minute drive. The only time I surf way up north is if work was taking me there anyway. I've got a big client in PP Beach and its not unusual for me to take my gear and hit Bayhead or Manesquan after my appointments. Very happy with the surf here in OC and there really isn't much need for me to waste time driving.

 

Good, I hope it turns into Alabama. And you are right, Sea Isle is small and crappy. Y'all hear that? Small and crappy. So everyone stay the f@ck away from Sea Isle, especially along the stretch known as whale beach and ESPECIALLY if you run into a 50 something dude with a big beard wearing a shirt that says "I HATE PEOPLE"

Listen, yeah, I don't hold appreciation for Stone Harbor or Sea Isle City. Oh, I've gone five time around the way to Sea Isle and the ocean never invited me in. NEVER.

You go to Stone Harbor and it's just like going to a wealthy neighborhood in Omaha, NE. You're riding the same things. Look, you can't name a break after nuns unless you are in Ocean County. What do you expect? Jesus walked on water. He didn't do the "re-entry" at the OP Pro back in 1984.

I mean when you really look at it, you'll see the same things. You got this one guy on here who thinks South OC is the greatest stretch of ocean coast since Tom Curren invaded France.

I don't know. I've seen the differences through the years. I've seen it as a low tide outside mush-burger/high tide shore breaker. Listen, I got the high tide, waist high barrels in 1987 there. It was like a micro day at Euhaki Beach park. Really it was the greatest novel small wave barrels ever. And I was there.

I've also seen it as a thump, dump bub that had some thrills. Oh, I've seen it. Yes, I have.

Yeah, I had an affair with Avalon one winter, but that was different.

So, there you go. Now before you insult me and the Sicilian hillbillies in Hammonton you might want to think not once, but four times aboot things. I've been to Manasquan. I write strange emails to Jon Coen. I've gotten drunk on Cedar Bonnet Island with frat boys from Stockton who called themselves The Sig Shack. I've gotten eye infections from Stone Harbor in 1987. I've talked, briefly with Gary Clayton for God's sake and Chuck Allison.

Michele Malkin went to Holy Spirit. Ok , we've got that far, right. Yeah, sure, I send her emails pretending to be one of "those" people from Pleasantville. Asians are very afraid of "those" people. It happens all of the time.

i too had a love affair with avalon one winter.
then i came to my senses.

The only reason Avalon even talked to guys like us was to make her boyfriend, Lower Merion, PA jealous.

 

That's not true !!! We had a special thing during the winter of 2007-2008. I parked right on the side of her inlet and then paddled into her jetty. And she was all mine except for one time when some teen was out, but he left quick.

Avalon is a teacher and so once in a while she has a student, which is perfectly normal these days.

I miss those romantic February evenings with her. Surfing her good until the sun set. Walking over her grains back to my car in the near darkness while the wind swept past us headed towards Europe. A good, hard, stiff breeze. The soft lights of the nearby houses radiating a peaceful glow as I produced my one-hitter and drew deeply, preparing for my ride and my time away from her.

I will penetrate her again one day. One day when the moon shines bright, and the cold wind blows, me and CJ, hand-in-hand will tame her wild nature.

 

She married Gladwyne, Pa back in 98. They have 3 children together that all attend Waldren Academy and Merion Mercy. We have to wait until Gladwyne cheats on her with a cocktail waitress from Borgota to pounce on her again. I used to hit her on the backside back in 87-89 until I too got sick.

 

Avalon sic stone harbor are where the real surfers go! reefs, point breaks, beachbreaks, slabs, its mental if you know the right spots. ( ingests three more tabs)
