I'm thinking of getting a board shaped and the Chemistry Sea Robin looks interesting. It's giving me some ideas. They say "it's built for NJ waves" and I like the shape. I've never surfed a moon tail but it makes sense. It essentially has two pins but has more surface area removed than a swallow.

Anyone heard any reviews on this shape and how far you can push it in larger swell? What do you think of the moontail?

If the board is anything like the fish don't get it.

I've got a board with a moon tail and it works really well. As far as larger NJ swell goes I've never had issues with it sliding out. If you plan on riding it in bigger waves I'd go with more volume rather than less

Looks fun. Not a traditional planshape, so it's gonna look funky to most people. But from a practical perspective... appears to be a practical small wave board for average NJ conditions.
