I got back into BB'ing in July and wanted to ask everyone's opinion/advice for a second board option. Also, I live and surf in Oceanside, CA.

    The board I have now is a Custom X B.Wise Freestyle, 42", 60/40, 2 stringer, crescent.

It's worked well over the last few months but want to know what the advantages are to a bat tail in...say the same board.

Would it makes sense or be a good idea to go with the same board in a bat tail or get a different model if it hade 50/50 or 55/45 rails?

Any other suggests as to another Custom X model would be great.

    Thanks

IMO, two advantages on the bat tail are more speed, and a definite looser feeling, especially in terms of spins and such. I've always been a 60/40 guy...

What are you looking for in the board? And are you strictly prone or do you mix in some dk?
