You saw who started it though and continued it right (yes I am included in that)? Why don't you just delete the offending post(s) and give out infractions instead of closing the tread then?

Maybe it would help if the mods explained publicly why things get locked so that in the future people have a better idea of what will be enforced.

Right now it's kind of a strange game of chicken the posters and the mods are playing. Just the way I see it.

 

Typically if a tread derails into complete poo flinging or is getting more crap posts than topical ones it will get locked. At least that how I see it's been going. I also think mods naturally give or deny leniency based on each situation. I know a number of times I have gone ape poopy on someone and not gotten an infraction and other times an off color comment with humor will get me a "trolling" offense. Seems like the mods can tell if a smack down was deserved by the receiver and seem to show mercy to poster.

Agreed, the guidelines are loose but clear. And this place, the Forum, reminds me of a bunch of guys sittign around talking shiiiiite. The thread hijackers like dropturdknee and shartboarder & shart snuffer & many, many who have gone before them are the worst offenders. Because they just want ot start dustups, 'jack the thread & ultimately get it locked.

How about wak a shartboarder? Would go a long way to cleaning up this place.
