I'm from Texas but I was born in Cali so go easy on the name calling ha, I'm taking my vacation this year to surf Trestles and I reserved a campsite at San Clemente State Beach for 9-27, 28. I'm just going to rough it with a tent and food and ****, nothing spectacular and I don't think alcohol is allowed on the campgrounds but if someone wants to bring a tent and come hang out I could use a local guide. 420 friendly and I won't kill/rape/fight/steal from you. I'm 22 and more or less responsible. Anyway, thought I'd ask.
there's usually plenty of people camping at that site, i'm sure you'll be able to find some helpful folks.
u picked the right time to go I dont think you need a guide. You are going at the best time of the year. Ya never know with mother nature but so-cal mid sept is the best. less tourists, kids in school, south swell season (trestles picks up south swells big time, warm water, santa ana winds (offshore)...yep....that should do it ....
Can someone recommend a place near that beach where I can score a rental? I'm having trouble finding a board that I like over here so I'm just going to order a kit and make the board I've designed in my head, but it won't be here in time for me to finish before the trip. Once I'm there I can search on my own, and I will, but if one of you have a friend and you'd like to send some business their way, let me know. Oh, and so far I'm still alone on the campsite. I'm cool with that, but I don't want to find myself digging in the sand with a stick every day at 420. I'll have transportation. PM me.
