100s of kooks at all of the surrounding beaches of the Belmar Pro must think it's 8 ft @ 10 second w/ off shore winds. They might as well be sitting on top of each others boards while jerking it under the water. True story.

Monmouth County was a complete bust for sure. Either ankle high or all closeouts. Total bummer. Glad to hear you guys got it good in VA.

I had the best session this morning since May. Waist to chest, occasional head, super glassy and peeling for the 4 hours I was out there. Could get 3-5 turns in if you caught it at the peak and took it all the way to the sand. This was in Monmouth County. Also had the pleasure of surfing with ISA world longboard champion Tony Silvagni, dude absolutely rips.

I drove from Sea Bright to Manasquan and the only spots even picking up the swell were Belmar to Manasquan. Even there it was 95% close outs, drop in maybe one turn and done, oh and packed. Glassy for 4 hours? It was onshore by 10 am. Unless you scored the cove good, which I doubt, your either kidding yourself or BSing.

I did the same, drove from Asbury to Sea Girt and stopped somewhere between. Surfed from 7:30 to almost 12. Was glassy for a couple hours and stayed clean the whole time, never went onshore more than maybe 2mph. I really only saw about 10-15 closeouts the whole session which is probably why there was about 20 other people there. Plenty of waves to go around though, got more turns in today than all summer. Sets were breaking outside the jetty all the way to the sand, do the walkaround and paddle back out. I don't care what you believe, I caught it good and you didn't. No reason to be jealous.

Sorry Rob G I don't think anyone caught it "good" in Monmouth County. There wasn't even a wave north of AP, and anything south was a wall......and blowing onshore by mid morning. Everyone gets dealt a skunk, this time it was MoCo.

there was a wave in moco today, you just had to pick your spot. no it was not chest high a frames, most sections didnt allow more then 1, occasionally 2 turns. RobG i also surfed all morn and it was def fun until about 11 or so. like waist to stomach lefts, but only off the jetty. i think a lot of people expected waves like we had a few weeks ago, but this system was prob too far offshore. beautiful sunday with a wave and football..go gmen!

We've talked about this a bunch of times on here, that E ground swells don't get into the northern parts of Monmouth County. The more east, the further south you need to go where the swells get through the offshore canyon influence. Pretty soon, we will have 2 forecasts for the area, rather then just one.

Anyone who surfs northern MoCo should know that SE groudswells over 12 seconds don't show anywhere north of Asbury, so I'm not sure why you guys wasted time checking all the way up in Sea Bright. Regardless, I had a fun session.

Here's some crappy cell phone pics my wife took around 11. Like I said, nothing epic but fun size, long, clean, rippable walls.
