Just heard from my buddy who writes for a local paper there was an attack this morning in northern monmouth county. he didn't know the exact location and apparently they're keeping it very hush hush since we're so close to tourist season. What he had heard: White male in there early 20's attack in northern monmouth county this morning while surfing. subject was transported to jersey shore medical center in neptune nj with severe trauma and major blood loss. no further information available. anybody have any other news?
It did happen: Here's the APP link: http://www.app.com/article/20120401...census-records-include-21-million-still-alive
Haha. the link is BS. The water is the perfect temp for whitey though. I haven't seen any seals since early winter.
Thank you for your concern... the doctors said I'm gonna be OK. The attack happened this morning around 7am. According to the invoice from the hospital, the doctors had to give me 6 units of blood, and by the looks of it, they have re-attached my left arm. Unfortunately, it's about 4 inches shorter than my right, which means I can only paddle around in circles. But the important thing is that I'll be back in the water by summer, 2013. Does anybody know any sponsors for shark attack victims?
Wow. Get well soon LBCrew. You better start working those left shoulder and arm muscles hard to build up strength to straighten out your paddle...Four inches is a lot to make up for.
