I used to shoot Casino Pier in Seaside NJ every day until they stopped letting us surf there. You just have to go super fast, watch out for diagonal pilings and fish hooks. Easy. Kinda funny how I went from dodging pilings to dodging cops to get waves.
This has to be the ShredMachine...I think I've seen this cat on 23 footers with his mulitpel girlfriends looking like he was at Honeyton or something. He totally shreds the gnar and has some very advanced grammar skills to boot.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=CfxZOjXLwN8 This is the real ShredMachine....promise
It's not your wave it's NJshred's... If he drops in on you it's your fault. If you drop in on him you're in trouble... I've seen him crushed a dudes head with his pecks! Best bet is to just quit surfing! It's not worth it!
I was walking out on the N side one swell, and some kid ripped thru on a long board. scared the crap out of me. it was only shin deep, Sun in my eyes and the deafening sound of the waves. never sensed him coming. would sucked to get run over like some touron from Joisey. He had a pal following that wasn't as accurate. I thought, "His daddy's gonna be pizzed. I was going out the day they started building it, around xmas. Met the job foreman. Young guy from Trinidad that just graduated. He looked too cold for the job.
Yes indeed. Who else will entertain us during the weeks of upcoming summer flat spells? Only the Shredmachine has that power. Because, while it may be flat as a lake from Miami to Nova Scotia, the Shredmachine will regale us with tales from the 23-footer side as he shotts the roller coaster in the ocean. On his $500k glued together pile of kindling from Roy, natch.
Is the one at 63rd still there? been a while since I've been there. Last time there was a whale slapping the water at the end of it.
naw man they got rid of it last fall. it was gone in like 2 days too. i was so disappointed to go there and see it not there. now its a huge deep spot and most of the north end is really ****ty
Yeah got a bigass beach but the break is gone. When I first saw 80th st, you could see the waves from the street. outside break was waaaaaaaaaay out. Used to limit the amount of people getting out on big days, when you had several hundred yards(it felt) to paddle out.
shot the OB pier a couple hundred times from the south side... not a big deal really. I have center-shot through 3 pillars before just to make it interesting... If you have seen the OB pier, you know what I mean, they have dual vertical cement pillars, so hop in the middle and shoot through as many as you can when its a fun day... when its really big and not high tide, you just go right through and try and setup for the barrel on the north side...
This is not an isolated incident. Apparently this happened quite a bit in VB today. SurfHeads: 1 Pier: 0 Bring on the onshore winds...was it a mandatory day to surf? Seriously, just me and my buddy last 2 days and today, the pak was on it. Cmon North winds. Everyone get in the position for prayer, crank old skool AFI and make my dreams come true. I just wanna surf...
I broke a board on the Ventnor Pier. I think I could have easily not gone under the pier but I thought it would be fun so I did. I used the board to cushion myself whilst hitting a pyling. So in retrospect it was not as much fun as I imagined it would be. I was pretty pissed after.
Dude I can't stop laughing This perfectly sums up Shred's penchant for posting pix of others while claiming. I shotted Root Beer right onto my keyboard lol.
