The one in Sandbridge was a young boy surfing North of the pier. Found out later that the fisherman were chumming on the S side. The Rusky guy died and the girl got her buttocks bitten off in Rodanthe.

I was surfing Matapalo CR in the 90's. bunch of cali surfers started paddling out before me when a bunch of anchovies jumped out of the water. I heard one guy yell "I'll get some for pizza" and jammed his hand down in after them. He was bit 3 times before getting his hand out. Everyone got out to get the guy to the Tattooist in puerto Jimenez. I took the opportunity to get some waves to my self. I got 1/2 way out when a bigger bunch jumped out. My pooswah suddenly started hurting so I ran back in.

 

Stepped on a ray at blacks and got snagged by the tail... not painful, but not fun. I still havea scar on my foot from 2 years ago
