How sick is it that we've got these treads to post up in with all sorts of stoke and score reports? Let's hope it'll roll like this all summah and fall.
yall been scoring? its FLAT here, hardly a ridable log wave stories! I wanna know who scored what, i love the hype and sensation around a swell like this, even if I am missing it
Agreed, having to catch the swell vicariously...been at work since 6:30AM, no idea when we'll get done.
Just scored head high clean with a couple of local boys cheering each other into tubes. Pretty sick....
its clearly bull****. hes from northern new england nothing is here yet. head high. the swell peaks at midnight at head high.
This pretty much sums it all up... http://www.surfline.com/surf-news/arthur-rapid-fire_111492/ Frame 14 was pretty much how it was down on Hilton Head all morning yesterday. All the sets were bigger than the one pictured in 14, but that wave, is pretty much exactly like what every wave was doing. Drop in, barrel. The lips just stood up and were letting you out almost every time. A little north of us, in Charleston, it sounds like they had a lot more trouble with wind and such, as our window was a lot bigger. Can't wait to see the footage out of Delmarva and Jersey. Maryland was already looking pretty damn epic a couple hours ago. If it cleans up, those guys are going to have a straight shack fest. Looks like the only place that was really peaking and rampy was Florida. They had the sheet glass and the photos indicate a lot of turning and airs. That wasn't even an option in SC. WB looked really small but clean today.
Everyone in their mom was at the beach yesterday. I am sure some photos will surface soon. Here are the only local ones I could find that were taken yesterday down in South Carolina.
What's the period across these Mid-Atlantic sites? Only supposed to be 8-9s up here tomorrow. Was hoping for 10-12.
Got some 12 second swell for tomorrow morning with well overhead, and offshore winds. Nothing else I could ask for
Got some 12 second well overhead swell tomorrow morning with offshore winds. I can't believe this is actually happening
Bro the height is receding big time after sunrise and doesn't look like you'll get OH for long. You think 20+mph offshores won't screw with things? If the day was going to stay good throughout I would make the trip to ACK but I don't see it. Yeah was hoping for nice long lines but beggars can't be choosers. I'll get on anything that comes our way.
Well, now I know that 13.1 ft. @12 s. on buoy 44066 equals 4 block long chest high closeouts in far western Long Island.
