Size really doesn't matter -or- How Carolina Beach punks WB everytime

CB is where we mainly go but I like Topsail too. Picked me up a free Rip Curl trucker hat at Topsail last year. Some dude shows up, had to look cool of course, can't go out and impress the ladies if you can't surf with your hat on. Naturally he had to sit outside waiting for that monster 4ft set to come through. Meanwhile I catch my little 3ft monsters over and over. These are obviously too small and worthless for him to waste his time on. He leaves them to me, the old guy who's not cool enough to surf with a hat on, or get up on a teeny lil shortboard. Finally that "huge" set comes and he gets slammed on the first wave then spends 10 mins looking for his hat. Then he spends the next half hour getting repeatedly slammed on the sand bar while I just keep taking every happy little 3ft right I can find. Finally he leaves...the ladies were less than impressed, but he did everything he could to look cool as hell as he walked back to his car...sans hat.

About an hour later the kids found his hat and gave it to me. I kept it as a trophy of sorts...score one for the uncool old guy. I got your waves...and your hat...thanks for playing.

Gonna hit CB this weekend if the weather holds.

Oh so that's what that was. I thought he was upping the cool by wearing a wallet chain earring attached to his hat. The kids found that later too, even had his ear still attached. I kept that too. The ear I mean.

 

Hahahaha that'd make a sick necklace! With the ear of course.

 

You may be on to something...would be good in the lineup, esp. since all CB riders carry knives. When they ask about the ear just pull the knife and tell them you collect them from people that drop-in on you.

Well I don't know about Sunskipper, but everyone south of the Pelican buys special wetsuits with pouches made for a glock 30s...I think max at veggie wagon sells them on Beach Creations.
