It's only now because everyone has a video camera and a platform.

I am with you in all you say above, Braap.
Only thing is, stank knows no other way than to be ignorant; he even takes it a step further--hahahaha!!.
I was a State Trooper for a bit when young. I found the vast majority of officers were good people working a hard job. I made the decision the occupation was not for me, so I moved on--that way nobody would get hurt by an officer that didn't quite like what he was doing.
And do not forget--you are arguing with morons on this site...<grin> (sorry boys, just had to put that one in!!)
Now go surfing, all of you.

I agree that there is not enough of the video to get the full story. I'm sure the kid was being a douche... But once the cop got his hands on the kid he should not need to slam him on the ground. If he couldn't control a little kid that he has his hands on he's a pu$$y and should not have a badge.

I've been ****ed over by police, tackled, slammed to the ground, chased and chased and chased, ended up in court and fined tremendously for "skating vandalism"

On June 25th I'll will be married to a girl who comes from a police family, and regardless of what the media portrays, what my personal experience has been, or what anyone else thinks I will always respect and support officers who put their life aside and do what's right for a community.

Do I support department and cities that think skating is a crime? Fukkkk no, however I believe every d-bag 15 year old that run their mouth, skate like ass, and wear beanies in summer (or Tampa) like I did, deserve to be roughed up a bit. Being forced to follow "rules" builds character, and the quicker humility and acceptance are reached, the better off you'll be.

Sometimes lessons are thought with tickets other times it takes a piledriver to the street. Both the cop and kid learned from the situation

The cameras generally only fail when they get knocked off of your chest during a fight, which happens some when you get attacked as a police officer. In my experience anyway. But that happens with all the stuff you have on you that isn't bolted onto your belt. But either way, they very rarely fail. Except the mics. they just quit working all the time. just a ****ty product tbh.

Actually stank, That is a stat that was gathered last year and is posted in many journals and widely regarded as accurate.

And you are taking something an anonymous person posted on an online forum as a personality test. Thats just stupid to think that people on a forume represent the majority of police officers.

Thanks for the congrats on the degrees. I worked 50 hours a week while attending night school. No one paid for my degrees except me. F00kin kook. You sound just like Obama saying private business owners didn't build their businesses, that they just got lucky. I didn't grow up with any money. I grew up in a trailer until i was 15. Got a job and moved out at 16. Got audited by the IRS and owed them almost 70k. Worked my ass off and put my head down to the daily grind and paid that off. Worked my ass off some more and put myself through school.

You should pay more taxes then because I need a pay raise. I make less money than someone working at home depot. True story.

As far as accountability, I want you to look up the good faith clause. Read all about that and try to understand why the media makes it look like there is no accountability. Also there is much accountability. Its why people get fired daily all around the country as police officers. You're just talking out of your ass.
