I remember Darkside based out of Lexington SC Bamboo Boards are **** though www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXG59wDJdrI
I've got a 8" stereo deck from back in the day, indy trucks and who knows what kind of wheels! But I mostly ride my gold cup banana board now, it's a penny shape designed with a better grip pattern with lance mountain. It's actually got a nose too. I like riding that because when you bust out a heel-flip, 180's, or even a pop shoveit, everybody goes nuts. And it's not really any harder than doing it on my stereo board.
Nope wrong Darkside. This one was run by adults not a bunch of 12 year old douche canoes like in that video. It was out of Raleigh NC. Shut down when the 75 year old man who provided capital for the company died and his daughter did not want to continue.
that must be rhetorical because I wasn't talking to you, noone must have never taught you to mind your own business. Learn some manners dik. Anyways besides the butthurt patrol, please emass give me your comparison
I've been skating a lot more lately. Weird that I picked it up when Im an old man rather than when I was made of rubber. Got one of the best parks thrown together by kids with quikcrete up the street. If anyone is from PA, GO TO MENZER SKATEPARK. REDONKULOUS. Helps my surfing out tremendously although I am no carver guy. For past year or 2 I always bring my board to ollie a few times and throw the tail out before a surf session. Really helps steatch after a long drive to the drink. Just got some 53s instead of 58s and made a huge difference in transitions and other maneuvers
Dude, let's see it! I mean I believe you, but I want to see what you're doing on yours so I can see what I need to be doing on mine. I skateboarded from an early age and was pretty damn good at one point. Put it down for several years upon picking up surfing. I told myself that I don't want anymore road rash or serious injury from not landing a 12 stair or messing up on a 8 stair handrail trick. It just wasn't worth it to me anymore. Fast forward to age 33 and I got on the Carver back in December, have been pumping and carving ever since and it has drastically improved my pumping on a surfboard, like I don't even think about it, it just happens... muscle memory. But I can't say that i'm pulling off any of the stuff I used to pull off on a "regular" skateboard. My mind just hasn't wrapped itself around the Carver in that fashion yet. Seriously bro, post a quick vid of you doing some of this stuff so I can see what you're doing and adapt my own style. Just use your Iphone or w/e. If you don't want to post it here, feel free to PM me.
I skated a lot as a kid.i grew up in a city so,mostly street skating for me,jumping 6stairs,8stairs,those little islands in the parking lots.loading docks are fun.i miss skating, but I live near the beach now and all we have are suburban houses and sidewalks, not much to skate.i could never legitimately grind a stair rail.i was always too terrified of falling.i almost broke my arm once and that set me back.a kid I grew up with that skated,he was real good, but he broke a limb on average once every 3 weeks.we had some sick skatespots back in the day.i did a little bowl surfing towards the end of my skating era. boards I owned, had a black label, alien workshops were always my fav.I won a board at a demo like 12yrs ago, forgot what kind,a think a flip.i had the board plain, just a deck no griptape or anything and I would practice moves in my house on the carpet.i must say it definitely helped my skating.360flips were always my favorite trick.its crazy lol,I skated for like a good 18yrs,and I have not one pic of any skating action, nor do I even have a skateboard.its just one of those things u grow out of.
HOLY FUK someones needs to rip the camera out of this dudes hands, slap him down in an elevator, teach him how to edit then refuse to let him film skateboarding ever again. sweet park tho
this is my local park im the kid in the beanie and tanktop
. I don't want to start an argument but lb crap? Bombing hills at high speeds seems pretty real to me.
Shredda! nice vid LIB420. I also appreciate the combination of winter headgear with summertime sleeveless shirt.
Uh I have a Real deck forget the size. forget the trucks and I think Reds. Probably Independent. Coolest place I have skated was the kid down the blocks house as a lad, he had a half pipe, a box, and a beam. Good times.
Sic vid!!!! You bunch of FLIDs can skate bro. Serious swagga. You seem to have a good crew. Treat your braws well. Bro, just not my cup of tea. It's pure monotony to me. There are some guys (and wahines) who shred hills. That said, it seems to be just a bunch of tucking and boardsliding to me. Some may say similar things about the Carver. They just don't know it's pure surf on pave.
