good morning ppl- in the past there have been a number of fishing threads on here.. since I've now reached complete kook status, I'm a pretty avid fresh water fisherman (potomac river), and you tend to notice some fish appear to be more intelligent then others. (for example, my money is on the trout for fresh water fish intelligence.) Just wondering whats the spookiest fish out there in the ocean? Might be hard to tell sometimes since alot of you probably hook fish by trawling, but I've heard the bonefish down in tropical areas are smart as ****, any others?
Well, I would say Mr. White Shark is pretty high on the list. The Australlians culled a few hundred sharks in the past month, trying to catch and kill great whites. Out of the hundreds that they caught, most were Tigers.... Not one White Shark fell for the bait.
Yes Gary, the One Eyed Florida Bonefish is the smartest (as measured by the Wunderlick test), fastest, slipperiest, and most persistent fish in the entire seven seas. Not even close.
if any one of you try the "fish are smart because they the travel in schools" joke i will meet you to fight
Great Whites.... the fact that they stick their heads up out of the water to "look" at targets of interest tells me that they are making decisions. That's pretty scary.
