Those are pretty mediocre waves all around to all of them. Seems like the NE was the only ones using good footage. No barrels in North or South CA? And that Mid Atlantic footage was the worst of all of them, no offense. I have seen guys on this forum post better waves than that.... And Hawaii got eliminated? No monster island barrels... Something is fishy about this one...
I agree. The low quality of the clips is mind boggling. I know that these guys in the semis are all great surfers and I've seen much better video from every one of them. It makes you wonder what the qualification rules were, something like... "Best video shot between February 19th and April 2nd by a shaky handed tourist with no real idea of what passes for epic surfing."
