He made a film called "I love you phillip morris," a true story about Steven Jay Russel, one of the greatest prison escapists and con men in US history.

After committing crimes, he repeatedly devised simple but incredibly resourceful ways to escape custody, usually in order to see his lover. I haven't seen the film, but the story is fascinating. And now the thread has 'come,' full circle.
